
Why “Follow Your Passion” is the Worst Advice For Gen-Y
When making our mark in the world, we often begin with asking ourselves “what am I passionate about and how can I find a way to keep doing it?”
But co-founder of Vancouver’s The Passion Project, Eunice Hii, found out that she wasn’t doing fellow Gen Y-ers a favor when she stopped the questions there. Besides asking what the world can do for our passions, we need to ask what our passions can do for the world. Eunice realized that a passion-driven life is only made substantial through a purpose-driven initiative. “Passion is your supply. Purpose is your demand.”
