As we reboot the world’s economy, Geoff Mulgan poses a question: Instead of sending bailout money to doomed old industries, why not use stimulus funds to bootstrap some new, socially responsible companies — and make the world a little bit better?

According to Geoff Mulgan, the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis left the world confronted with finding new ways to sustain society. He talks about the necessary shift from consumption focused capitalism to a new socially innovative system that is more people-centric. We like this because since Geoff’s talk in 2009 we have worked with and seen lots of entrepreneurs and businesses making this shift and having great success. Proving Mulgan’s theory (and ours too) that business can be used as a force for good.
